My husband was recently diagnosed with Type II diabetes. He was having a difficult time with the adjustment. This cake mix allowed us to have pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. I mixed the cake mix with one large and one small can of pumpkin (not pumpkin pie filling). Added pumpkin pie seasoning to taste. Added 2 large cans of evapoporated milk, no fat, no sugar. It did not look thin enough, so I added 1-1/2 cups of skim milk. Poured it into a frozen pie shell (transferred to a glass pie pan). Baked it like a cake, 350 degrees for about 35 minutes. This recipe made 2 pies. My husband loved it! Even our son liked it. I strongly recommend these mixes.
